Staff from Dreher, Richland One’s Office of CTE and a representative from MEBA surprised Kirkley with the award May 6.

“I am honored and surprised to receive the recognition this year.  One of my favorite parts of my job is being able to work closely with students on their next steps after graduation.  I am very grateful to MEBA for recognizing me and the great team we have at Dreher.  As we approach graduation in a few weeks, I am excited to see all that our students will accomplish as they move forward into the adult world,” said Kirkley.

He will now go on to compete for South Carolina’s CTE School Counselor of the Year award, representing the Midlands region.  The state winner will be announced in the coming weeks.
