Early Voting Opens for Runoff Election for Two District 55 School Board Seats
August 7, 2023On Tuesday, August 15, voters in the district will head to the polls to cast their ballots in the runoff elections for Seat 1 and Seat 3 of the Laurens County District 55 School Board. Before the election day arrives, early voting opportunities are available, giving constituents a chance to make their voices heard.
Starting on Wednesday, August 9, residents in the areas for seat 1 and seat 3 can participate in early voting, which will continue until Friday, August 11, at 5 pm. The early voting location is the Laurens Voter Registration & Elections office situated at 103 Bolt Drive in Laurens. This convenient option aims to encourage maximum voter participation and make it easier for people with busy schedules to have the opportunity to vote.
In the race for Seat 1 on the School Board, two candidates are vying for the position. Kelvin L. Byrd and Tabitha Keitt.
In the race for Seat 3, two candidates, Heather Hall Elders and Angela Lowe Wells, are running for this position.
