Earth Day Climate Action Fair at Boyd Plaza – April 26

April 21, 2025

The City of Columbia will host a Climate Action Fair on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Boyd Plaza, located at the Columbia Museum of Art (1515 Main Street).

Organized by the City’s Office of Sustainability and its Climate Protection Action Committee, along with local and regional partners, the event is part of Columbia’s Earth Day celebration. The fair aims to raise awareness about climate change and promote sustainable practices.

The event will feature interactive booths, hands-on workshops, and activities for all ages. Visitors can enjoy free face painting from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., a photo booth throughout the event, and meet mascots like the City’s Recycling Wizard and Cocky at 11:00 a.m.

Local artist Easel Cathedral (aka Tranhern Cook), will be painting live during the fair. The finished artwork will be raffled off to attendees who receive free tickets from environmental educators.

The fair will also include a virtual art unveiling and a panel discussion with participating artists about their role in climate engagement.

The event is free and open to the public.
