Duane Harvin started his career as a branch manager for Wachovia Bank in Columbia, SC, where he was eventually promoted to Market Manager and was nominated to serve on the corporate diversity council.
In 2012, he joined State Farm as an Agent Aspirant and was awarded his own agency in 2015. After his tenure as a State Farm Insurance Agent, Duane left State Farm in 2018 to begin a new career as an independent agent, forming Black Oak Insurance Services of SC.
Duane also served on the Richland County Foster Care Review Board and was an Adjunct Professor at Midlands Technical College for 6 years.
