ECCO invites community, partners and media to explore its new Mobile Office

East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) will welcome community partners and members of the media to its main campus for an opportunity to explore the new ECCO Mobile Office and learn more about how the organization is expanding access to services throughout rural East Cooper communities. The event will take place on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon at 1145 Six Mile Road in Mount Pleasant.
Guests will have the opportunity to tour the Mobile Office, meet ECCO staff and board members and learn more about how this new effort is helping connect neighbors with the nonprofit’s programs and resources. Attendees may also participate in a tour of ECCO’s main campus for a closer look at the services available to local individuals and families.
“The Mobile Office gives us another way to meet our neighbors where they are and make it easier for them to connect with vital resources,” said Patty Frost, director of programs and services at East Cooper Community Outreach. “We’re looking forward to welcoming our partners and members of the media to see the mobile office firsthand and get a closer look at the work happening every day at ECCO.”
Launched in August 2026, the mobile office helps reduce transportation and other barriers that can make it difficult for residents of rural East Cooper communities to access ECCO’s Mount Pleasant campus. Through the Mobile Office, residents can now meet face-to-face with staff, learn about available resources, determine eligibility, apply to become a client, make appointments and food orders, and connect with additional programs and support. The Mobile Office represents an extension of ECCO’s commitment to meeting neighbors where they are.
