EdVenture to offer child care options for families facing challenges with virtual learning

In response to Richland One’s announcement of full-time virtual learning after winter break, EdVenture is pleased to offer Eddie’s Study Studio, a distance learning program for families facing challenges in a constantly changing remote learning environment.
Eddie’s Study Studio will:
- Support student learning by ensuring full participation in virtual/remote learning.
- Provide a clean and safe classroom environment for learning.
- Engage students in supplemental learning experiences with EdVenture’s education team.
“EdVenture is dedicated to the health and safety of each student attending Eddie’s Study Studio, said Kathie Williams, RN, DrPH, EdVenture’s Health and Safety Advisor. Safety protocols include daily temperature checks, strict social distancing within the classroom, increased and enhanced cleaning of all classroom surfaces using hospital-grade sanitizers, and required mask wearing for all children and staff members. Students attending Eddie’s Study Studio will remain separate from guests visiting the museum with dedicated entrances, restrooms, and classroom space that is located in the lower level of the building.”
Eddie’s Study Studio will be available Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm to families with children ages Kindergarten – 5th Grade, throughout the Midlands. Complimentary early drop-off will begin at 7:15 am and after-school care will be available from 3 pm-6 pm. School day tuition is $195 per week and after school care is available for $100 per week. Advanced registration is required.
