Elliott Davis, LLC Principal Speaks at South Carolina Healthcare Managers Association (SCHMA) Meeting

GREENVILLE, SC – July 15, 2008 – Elliott Davis, LLC, one of the Southeast’s largest accounting and business advisory firms, announced that firm Principal Ira Bedenbaugh recently served as a guest speaker at the Greenville Chapter of the South Carolina Healthcare Managers Association’s monthly meeting.
Bedenbaugh addressed the audience of over 60 healthcare managers with a presentation titled, Do I Have To?” which provided recommendations for facilitating change in medical practices. As the leader of Elliott Davis’s medical practices group, Bedenbaugh focuses on helping physician practices and hospitals improve how they manage short and long-term financial and operational challenges. His responsibilities include analyzing physician practice infrastructure, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing workflow processes and technologies that increase business performance and address government compliance issues.
Bedenbaugh served previously as a principal of Protime LLC Medical Management Consultant and the practice administrator of The Family Healthcare Center. Bedenbaugh earned a bachelor’s degree in financial management and a master’s degree in business administration from Clemson University. He is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Laurens, S.C.; member and past treasurer of the United Way of Laurens County; board member of the Laurens Chamber of Commerce and board member of Senior Options, also in Laurens.
