June 28, 2021

AnMed Health announced the appointment of Emily DeRoberts to the AnMed Health Board of Trustees earlier this month. Currently, DeRoberts is the District Manager for Government and Community Relations in South Carolina for Duke Energy.

“Emily’s professional career with Duke Energy allows her to interact with a lot of different stakeholders throughout the region. She brings that breadth of knowledge from an industry point of view that will be helpful to our board,” said AnMed Health Board of Trustees Chairman Terence Roberts.

AnMed Health CEO William Kenley added, “In addition to being heavily involved in economic development in the Upstate through Duke Energy, Emily lives in Powdersville, one of the fastest growing areas in Anderson County. Board representation from that area is important as AnMed Health serves the growing health care needs across our county.”

DeRoberts graduated from Southern Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Management Science. She serves as a commissioner for Renewable Water Resources (ReWa). In addition, DeRoberts is the chair of Upstate Alliance. Other board memberships include Tri-County Technical College Foundation, United Way of Pickens, Anderson Interfaith Ministries, and Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce.

She and her husband, David, have four children and nine grandchildren.
