Emmanuel’s Hammer hosts Builder’s Breakfast featuring USC Football Chaplin

February 8, 2016

Emmanuel’s Hammer, a nonprofit, faith-based organization providing home rehabilitation services for homeowners in need, is hosting their annual Builder’s Breakfast on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 7:15 AM.

The event, presented by Southern First Bank, will be held in Sisk Hall at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church in downtown Greenville. Along with the breakfast, attendees will hear from former USC Football Chaplin, Adrian Despres who served under legendary coaches Lou Holtz and Steve Spurrier, as the keynote speaker.

“We are excited to come together and share our mission, plans and successes with our current team and new potential supporters,” commented K.C. Carter, Executive Director of Emmanuel’s Hammer. “Having Adrian join us as the keynote speaker will be a real treat. We hope to encourage those who want to make a significant difference in the lives of Upstate families in need. Emmanuel’s Hammer provides services so those families can live in a safe, sanitary, and secure home – we hope to create a foundation that will help break the cycle of poverty.”

The goal of Emmanuel’s Hammer is not simply to provide decent homes to those in the most critical need, but also to develop sustainable solutions for their clients. They help the homeowners acquire the resources, knowledge, and experience they will need to continue to help themselves and maintain their newly rehabilitated homes over the long term.

All of the services provided by Emmanuel’s Hammer are free of charge.
