Empower Charleston (formerly Social Venture Partners Charleston) announces 2024 nonprofit funding cycle

January 31, 2024

Empower Charleston will open the 2024 capacity-building grant cycle on February 5. The focus areas for this cycle include Education, Mental Health & Wellness, and Economic Mobility. Empower Charleston will host a nonprofit webinar Q&A at noon on February 12 to discuss the process and criteria and answer questions.

“We are excited to connect with philanthropic leaders from around the Tri-County and invest in organizations that are poised for growth. Finalists will receive training, coaching, and mentoring on how to tell their stories succinctly and powerfully. The cycle will culminate with the Nonprofit Showcase on October 3 at The Cedar Room. Organizations will share their story in front of the Charleston philanthropic community and have the opportunity to receive co-investments in addition to a two-year capacity building grant.” said Grier Williford, Investment Chair

Nonprofits serving Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties focused on creating social impact in Education, Mental Health, and Economic Mobility are encouraged to learn more about this year’s grant cycle and register for the webinar at empowercharleston.org/grant-cycle.
