End Summer on a high note with Jazzy Ash and the Leaping Lizards

August 7, 2020

Get ready to celebrate a summer of learning, creating and sharing with Richland Library. Join us for the End of Summer Bash with Jazzy Ash and the Leaping Lizards from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m., Saturday, August 15 on our Facebook Page. The online performance, which is free and open to the public, features the music of New Orleans and scenes from the historic Mission Gables House at the Redlands Bowl in Redlands, California where filming took place.

Jazzy Ash and the Leaping Lizards include plenty of rhythms and rhymes in their music while highlighting the rich tradition that African Americans handed down from the mid-19th century to the early jazz era. NPR shares, “Ashli Christoval fully connects with her own family’s roots yet incorporates those decades-old traditions into 21st century kids music.”

The library’s Summer Learning Challenge officially wraps up Sunday, August 16.
