Engenius initiates 2014 grants competition

GREENVILLE, SC – April 14, 2014 – Non-profit groups in the Upstate can get a new website for free via the Engenius Grants competition, which is now taking applications for 2014.
Engenius selects two new local non-profit organizations each year to support with professional marketing development. The Grant recipients receive a fully developed website, marketing strategy, access to trainings and workshops, as well as ongoing hosting and support.
Organizations located and serving within Oconee, Pickens, Anderson, Greenwood, Laurens, Spartanburg, and Greenville counties are eligible to apply. The deadline to apply is April 30 and the winners’ new websites will be unveiled in early fall.
Effective marketing is crucial to the success of nonprofits in today’s world, said Chris Manley, Engenius’ managing partner. “However, this specialized expertise is typically expensive and beyond the reach of many local nonprofit organizations.”
With so many groups vying for donor dollars, it is critical that nonprofits be able to put forward an up-to-date, tech-savvy face in the marketplace or lose out to user-friendlier sites. Engenius helps the Grant recipients develop the polish and professionalism they need to compete.
The 2013 winners were Shalom House Ministries of Anderson and Ronald McDonald Charities of the Carolinas. Engenius donated more than $36,000 in services to over a dozen Upstate non-profits in 2013.
