Engenius’s Manley to speak on Millennials

August 27, 2015

GREENVILLE, SC – Engenius’s CEO Chris Manley will be in Charleston this week to discuss working with millennials at the 2015 South Carolina Association for Community Economic Development’s OpportunitySC conference.

OpportunitySC: Build, Grow, Own is a three-day conference in Charleston aimed at uniting and growing the state’s various community development groups.

Manley will be speaking Thursday morning about how to inspire and understand millennials.

“Millennials are young, youthful, and eager to engage in bettering our community. However, they’re a very different generation than any we have seen before,” he said. “How can you best engage with millennials, understand what they value most, and lead them to invest in your community?”

Manley co-founded Engenius in 2008 and has employed mostly millennials over the company’s near eight year history. The firm has grown steadily by providing excellent web development and marketing services in South Carolina.

In addition to leading Engenius, Manley is the founder and executive director of Rebuild Upstate, a non-profit focused on emergency home repairs in the Upstate. Through that work he has overseen the volunteerism of thousands of millennials in nine years of volunteer work.

He is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class 39 and was named one of Greenville’s Best and Brightest under age 35 in 2012. He was also named South Carolina’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013 by the U.S. Small Business Administration. He was named the Greenville Chamber’s Young Professional of the Year in 2015.
