Enjoy a virtual seat to an upcoming world-class jazz concert – Jan 15

January 11, 2021

Tune in to a rollicking, world-class jazz concert from the comfort of your home. Richland Library presents Evening Arts: The Ben Rosenblum Jazz Trio from 7 – 8 p.m., Friday, January 15 on our Facebook Page.

The online program, which is free and open to the public, features award-winning jazz pianist, accordionist and composer Ben Rosenblum, drummer Ben Zweig, and bassist Marty Jaffee. They spotlight an eclectic set of material, ranging from jazz standards and original compositions to world music from Spain and Ireland, in a virtual performance, filmed by Eduardo Belo.

A graduate of the Columbia-Juilliard program, Rosenblum’s original music combines his extensive knowledge on the history of jazz with a free-wheeling, modern melodic sensibility and powerful narrative approach to the piano. His second album, River City, was recently called “richly romantic” and “well-realized” by JAZZIZ Magazine, which presented the title track as part of its fall 2018 CD.
