Anthony Walker, Southpaw Cigarbox Guitars
This Christmas, my brother-in-law gave me an extraordinary Christmas present, a cigarbox guitar made by local entrepreneur, Anthony Walker.
Anthony Walker has always enjoyed music and making things. After watching a video of a guitar boogie woogie song being performed on a three-stringed instrument called a cigarbox guitar, he decided to make one. Anthony is the first to admit that the first guitar was not that good. Now, five years on, and having built over 80 cigarbox guitars, Anthony has refined his craft and builds beautiful and easy-to-play guitars. You might find him down at the Soda City Market in Columbia, SC, or other craft shows around the state.
