Nancy Parr, Environmental Protection Manager, Westinghouse’s Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility

Nancy Parr, a 36-year Westinghouse employee, serves as the environmental protection manager at the company’s Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility, one of the largest nuclear fuel facilities in the world. Located in Hopkins since 1968, the 1,200 employees produce fuel pellets, rods, assemblies, and components that support 10% of U.S. electricity generation.

Westinghouse maintains a strong culture of safety and community engagement, with many local families having multiple generations working at the site. With the renewal of their license in 2022, the Lower Richland fuel fabrication facility is positioned to continue supporting energy production for generations to come.
