EPC Power Launches Fountain Inn Facility to Fuel AI Data Centers, Creating 275 Jobs
July 15, 2026In a significant economic boost for the Golden Strip, California-based clean-tech manufacturer EPC Power officially opened a brand-new, 167,000-square-foot production facility at 111 Southcase Boulevard in Fountain Inn. The grand opening nearly triples the company’s domestic manufacturing capacity, creating 275 new high-tech jobs for local residents.
The facility will specialize in fabricating utility-scale power inverters. These sophisticated energy conversion systems are designed to improve electric grid stability, support utility-grade solar storage, and directly alleviate energy grid constraints triggered by the rapid global proliferation of artificial intelligence (AI) data centers.
“Our expansion in South Carolina is a direct response to the AI infrastructure investment and power demands we’re seeing worldwide,” EPC Power CEO Jim Fusaro stated. “By tripling our capacity, we’re giving data center and utility operators access to more critical components domestically.”
The Fountain Inn plant represents EPC Power’s third overall U.S. location and its second in the Upstate, building on successful baseline operations established in neighboring Mauldin back in 2022. The new production lines are expected to reach full capacity by the end of July.
