COLUMBIA, SC – September 21, 2009 – Helping to strike out against neuromuscular disease, members of ERA Wilder Realty recently raised over $1500 during a local benefit bowl-a-thon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Held at Anchor Lanes in Irmo, the event included real estate agents from 5 of the local ERA Wilder Realty offices. This event is sponsored annually by the company and put together as one of the many events held during the year to help raise money for the cure of MDA. The total raised by ERA Wilder Realty in 2008 was over $30,000 and the goal this year is to top $50,000.

We’d like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who donated their time, energy and efforts to help make this event such a success, said Eddie Wilder, President of ERA Wilder Realty.  Working together, we know that we can make a tremendous contribution to the fight against neuromuscular disease.

ERA Real Estate joined MDA in its fight against neuromuscular disease in 1977. Since then, ERA members have raised more than $30 million to fund research and provide services to help the more than one million Americans affected by neuromuscular diseases. The sole corporate sponsor of MDA from the real estate industry, ERA Real Estate is among the top corporate contributors to the organization each year.
