United Community Bank announced the addition of Eric Schelble as Vice President/Commercial Relationship Manager. Schelble is the fourth person to join United’s newly launched team in the Midlands.

“Eric is a creative thinker with close community ties, and we are very excited to welcome him to our growing team,” said Shannon Stephens, Midlands President for United Community Bank. “Banking and financial advice comes naturally to him and he is dedicated to working with business owners to achieve their long-term goals. I look forward to his contributions as we establish our presence in this community.”

Originally from Chapin, Schelble graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management. He has four years of banking experience and has served in roles as an SBA Credit Analyst, Commercial Credit Analyst and Small Business Relationship Manager. Most recently, he worked with TD Bank.

“The speed and service that United Community Bank provides customers is unmatched,” said Schelble. “The bank is committed to making our communities a more enjoyable place to work and live – two things that resonate closely with my personal values. I am excited for the opportunity to help business owners and my community with Shannon and the United Community Bank team.”

Schelble is a Diplomat for the Greater Irmo Chamber of Commerce. For the past three years, he has also been a volunteer for Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina where he teaches classes on personal finance to local high school students. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, tennis and Clemson athletics.
