Big changes are on the horizon for Pop’s BBQ and Country Cooking in Clinton (306 E. Carolina Avenue). Starting January 22nd, the restaurant will officially rebrand as Pop’s Country Cooking, offering a refreshed dining experience while staying true to its roots as a local favorite.

Owned and operated by Marcus Cheeks, Pop’s Country Cooking is transitioning away from its buffet-style service to a new approach focused on a thoughtfully curated menu. “We wanted to make sure our customers get the same high-quality, home-cooked meals they love, but in a way that’s more efficient, cleaner, safer and better value,” said Cheeks.

The updated menu keeps fan-favorite dishes like ribs and pork chops, while reintroducing some beloved items such as whole bone-in catfish, country fried steak, grilled asparagus and honey balsamic glazed Brussel sprouts.” For diners seeking healthier options, the premium salad bar will remain a staple, featuring fresh, flavorful ingredients.

Designed with convenience in mind, the new service model caters to both families and busy diners. Call ahead to have your meal prepared and ready upon arrival or take advantage of their curbside delivery service.

More good news – starting January 27th, Pop’s Country Cooking will be open seven days a week. Hours will be:

  • Sunday    11 AM – 4 PM
  • Monday – Friday 11 AM – 7 PM
  • Saturday – 8 AM – 7 PM
