COLUMBIA, SC – The Free Medical Clinic Board of Directors has named Freddie Strange, Jr., MA, RRT as Executive Director.

Strange will work to advance the clinic’s mission of providing quality health care to people in our community who need it most, at no cost to them. He is responsible for directing all programming, fundraising, volunteer and community relations.

He brings more than 25 years of health care management experience, also having worked at both Providence Hospitals and Lexington Medical Center.

Not only will Strange be directing the Free Medical Clinic services, but his wife and daughter-in-law, are two of the clinic’s newest volunteers.

“I made the decision to take on this important role for my family and my community,” said Strange. “Columbia is a wonderful place to live and work and I’m excited about the opportunity to give back through this important ministry.”
