FAVOR Greenville Announces Recovery Coach Training

GREENVILLE, SC – June 3, 2013 – Faces and Voices of Recovery (FAVOR) Greenville announced the dates of a five-day training workshop designed for individuals interested in serving as volunteer FAVOR Greenville Recovery Coaches. The Recovery Coach training will take place June 17-21, 2013 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with registration starting at 8:30 am at the FAVOR Greenville Center located at 355 Woodruff Road Suite 303 in Greenville.

FAVOR Greenville is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to providing assistance to individuals seeking recovery and to removing the stigma from substance use disorders.

A Recovery Coach provides non-clinical support services to individuals and families seeking recovery. Instructors from FAVOR SC Recovery Training Academy will use a strengths-based approach to provide participants with the tools and resources they need to assist others in finding their own personal path to long-term recovery.

“I was fortunate to attend the last FAVOR SC Recovery Training Academy session in early May. The well presented information and interactive group exercises made for a stimulating learning experience,” states Jack Catalano, FAVOR Greenville’s director of volunteers. Becoming a Recovery Coach has been personally rewarding and has also enriched my own path of recovery in fresh new ways.”

Individuals interested in becoming a FAVOR Greenville Recovery Coach may contact Jack Catalano at 864-385-7753 or [email protected].
