Fernwood Baptist Church To Serve As Host For Annual Spartanburg Community Thanksgiving Service

November 5, 2013

SPARTANBURG, SC – November 5, 2013 – Fernwood Baptist Church, located at 200 Fernwood Drive in Spartanburg, will host this year’s annual Spartanburg Community Thanksgiving Service on Tuesday, November 26, 2013.  The service will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will provide an opportunity for the community to gather together to collectively give thanks.

Childcare will be provided during the service, and a reception will be held in the Easley Family Life Center at Fernwood Baptist Church immediately following the service.

Parking for the Spartanburg Community Thanksgiving Service will be at Fernwood Baptist Church.  There are three parking lots around the church building; the first is immediately adjacent to the building, and the other two parking lots are located across Allston Road and on Fernwood Drive.

Each year, a committee of local clergy selects a nonprofit organization to receive the offering.  As a sponsor of this event, The Spartanburg County Foundation matches the plated offering dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000.

This multi-denominational service brings together clergy and members from numerous local congregations.  All members of the community are invited to attend.
