Fetter Health Care Network to host COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Wadmalaw Island, SC on March 3

Fetter Health Care Network (Fetter) announced it will host its next COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Wednesday, March 3 at New Bethlehem Baptist Church in Wadmalaw Island, SC. Vaccines will be distributed in accordance with SC DHEC guidelines for Phase 1a distribution. Phase 1a includes healthcare workers, persons age 65 or older, mission-critical government employees, long-term care facility residents and staff, and caregivers of medically fragile or complex or severely disabled.

Wednesday’s clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at New Bethlehem Baptist Church, located at 1945 Liberia Road in Wadmalaw Island, SC. No appointment is needed and vaccines are distributed as first-come, first serve. Persons who qualify should arrive at the clinic and complete an on-site registration. These clinics have been well attended, so please anticipate a moderate wait. The first dose of the vaccine will be distributed on this date and recipients will receive confirmation for a date and time to receive their next dose.

“As we approach the anniversary of our initial COVID-19 testing sites, we are honored to continue serving our community by distributing COVID-19 vaccines to our neighbors in need,” said Aretha R. Powers (Jones), CEO of Fetter. “Our hope is that Lowcountry residents who are eligible for the vaccine but may not be able to secure an appointment with other healthcare systems, can rest assured that they will be served at one of our clinics.”

Eligible vaccination recipients must present photo identification in order to verify that they are 65 years of age or older, as well as display proof of employment, if applicable. Individuals are also asked to bring a copy of their insurance cards, if applicable. Verification for mission critical government employees and health care workers must include two of the following: employer badge, personalized letter from employer, copy of employer paycheck stub or copy of professional license. Caregivers of medically fragile children must provide a signed attestation by a medical provider. Attestation forms can be found on the SC DHEC website.
