Filing Deadline Approaches for Clinton Municipal Elections

The filing period for the upcoming Clinton municipal elections is nearing its close, with the final day to file set for this Friday, January 5, at 12:00 p.m. Interested candidates must act swiftly to ensure their place on the ballot for the March 4, 2024, elections.
Seats up for election include:
- Mayor of Clinton
- City Council District 2
- City Council District 4
The filing fee for candidates is $300 for the mayoral race and $150 for city council seats. Candidates must file with the Clinton Municipal Election Commission, located at the M.S. Bailey Municipal Center, 211 North Broad Street, Clinton.
Potential candidates should note that all filings must be completed in person during regular business hours, which run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
