Film Premiere to Support the Family Shelter on 12/11

COLUMBIA, SC – December 3, 2208 – The Columbia premiere of Where God left his Shoes will be held on Thursday, 12/11 at 7:00 pm at the Nickelodeon Theatre, 937 Main St, Columbia 29201. This will be preceded by a small reception between 6:00 and 6:45 pm. A feature film written and directed by Salvatore Stabile, it is the winner of the Humanitis Prize – Best Sundance Feature Film, and has been nominated in 4 categories for the 2008 Imagen Awards.

Frank Diaz, played by John Leguizamo is a down-on-his-luck Gulf War veteran. Frank, Angela and their two children are evicted from their New York City apartment and move into a homeless shelter. Good news comes on Christmas Eve: an apartment is available immediately but Frank needs a job to qualify. Frank and his ten-year old stepson, Justin, roam the cold streets of New York trying to find a job by day’s end.

Where God Left His Shoes is the story of a family that refuses to break apart during the darkest time of their lives and discovers that they will survive as long as they have each other.
