Fine Arts Center welcomes Elizabeth Dalton as Executive Director of Fine Arts Center Partners amid 50th anniversary celebration
February 10, 2025The Fine Arts Center announced Elizabeth Dalton as the new Executive Director of the Fine Arts Center Partners, the nonprofit dedicated to supporting and promoting the Fine Arts Center. Dalton’s hire marks a new era of growth and community engagement as the school celebrates its 50th anniversary.
With over 20 years of experience in community and leadership development, non-profit management, and media relations, Dalton brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for fostering connections.
Her background includes serving as Director of Community and Leadership Development for the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, spearheading the redevelopment of Leadership Athens (now L.E.A.D. Athens), and leading development for the Athens Technical College Foundation. Additionally, Dalton hosted and produced “LizTalk,” a radio show where she interviewed over 6,000 individuals.
As the Fine Arts Center marks 50 years of providing premier arts education to the Upstate, Dalton’s leadership will continue to elevate the organization’s impact and visibility. Her role will focus on strengthening relationships with community partners, enhancing fundraising efforts, and driving strategic initiatives to support the school’s continued growth and success.
“I am both honored and humbled to join the Fine Arts Center at such a pivotal moment in its history,” said Dalton. “This milestone anniversary is a celebration of the school’s enduring legacy, and I am eager to work with our partners, students, and community to ensure the Fine Arts Center continues to thrive.”
Fine Arts Center Director Vee Popat added, “Elizabeth’s leadership and vision will be instrumental in fostering deeper connections between the Fine Arts Center and the Greenville community. We are excited to see how her expertise will enhance our programs and opportunities for students.”
The 50th anniversary celebration will be held on Friday, April 10, 2025, at the Peace Center. It will showcase performances by students and distinguished alumni, including Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Marcus King, comedian Rory Scovel, pioneering dance educator Jan Woodward, and violinist Kelly Hall-Tompkins, who will be inducted into the inaugural Fine Arts Center Hall of Fame.
