First Baptist Church celebrates 35 years of the Singing Christmas Tree

November 2, 2026

First Baptist Church of Georgetown is preparing to celebrate a major milestone this holiday season as it presents its 35th annual Singing Christmas Tree program.

A beloved holiday tradition in the Lowcountry, this worshipful presentation of the birth of Jesus Christ will run from December 11 through December 14, 2026. The performance features a rich presentation of Christmas carols, sacred hymns, and holiday music.

A Landmark Milestone in Community Ministry

Since its inception 35 years ago, the Singing Christmas Tree has welcomed roughly 800 attendees per showing, impacting an estimated 100,000 people over its three-and-a-half-decade history.

This year’s production features an expansive group of community members, including: 70+ Choir Members representing more than 20 local churches; instrumentalists & tech specialists providing live musical backing, lighting, and sound; and numerous behind-the-scenes volunteers serving in production, staging, and support roles.

Admission to the performance is free, but tickets are required for entry.  Please reserve your tickets in advance to ensure seating two ways: order online directly via Ticketleap or follow the link on the First Baptist Church Website. For questions or additional details, call 843-546-5187.
