First Citizens Announces New Regional Leadership Roles

RALEIGH, NC – First Citizens Bank announced today new regional leadership positions for four of its top
executives.

“These veteran bankers bring many years of exemplary service and experience to their new roles with First Citizens,” said Peter Bristow, president of First Citizens Bank. “They provide invaluable leadership and expertise as we continue to focus on serving our customers in the Charlotte Metro and Triangle areas of North Carolina and as we refine and further grow our wealth management offering.”

 

Christine (Chris) Young

 

 

Christine (Chris) Young has been named the bank’s Central Region Executive, overseeing a network of 65 branches and the business banking teams in the Charlotte Metro and Triangle area, which includes the bank’s headquarters market. She previously served as First Citizens’ Triangle area executive. She will continue to be based in Raleigh, N.C.

Young graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and received her MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. She joined First Citizens in November 2002 and has more than 20 years of banking experience.

 

 

 

In addition, two long-time First Citizens executives have been named Wealth Regional Managing Directors. Each oversees teams of wealth sales professionals who specialize in providing a broad spectrum of solutions for high-net-worth individuals.

Marc Horgan

 

 

Marc Horgan supervises teams of wealth professionals within the Charlotte market and all of South Carolina. He has been with First Citizens for 17 years, most recently in the role of Charlotte Metro Area executive. He has an additional five years of banking experience.

Horgan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He will remain based in Charlotte.

 

 

 

Dennis (Denny) Fingers

 

 

Dennis (Denny) Fingers oversees the bank’s wealth teams in all North Carolina markets (except Charlotte Metro) and Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland and is based in Raleigh. Fingers has been with First Citizens for 12 years and most recently served as manager of the private wealth group.

Fingers received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Washington and Jefferson College. He has more than 27 years of experience in financial services, with 15 years at PNC Bank prior to joining First Citizens.

 

 

 

Brendan Chambers

 

 

Brendan Chambers now serves as Commercial Banking and Middle Market Sales Director for First Citizens in the Triangle, Charlotte Metro and South Carolina Metro areas and leads those commercial banking teams.

With more than 19 years of banking experience, he joined the company in 2013 and previously served as Commercial Banking Executive for the former First Citizens Bank and Trust, headquartered in South Carolina.

In that role, he managed all aspects of the company’s commercial banking efforts in metro South Carolina markets and Atlanta. Prior to this, Chambers worked at PNC Financial Services Group Inc., at RBC Bank and Bank of America.

Chambers received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Bonaventure University in St. Bonaventure, N.Y. He will be relocating to Charlotte for his expanded duties.
