About the Peace Center
The Peace Center serves 250,000 people each year through performances, as well as through Resident Companies that call the Peace Center home, including the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, South Carolina Children’s Theatre, Governor’s School for the Arts, International Ballet, and Carolina Ballet Theatre. Patrons, spanning many generations and cultural heritages, are predominately drawn from communities in South Carolina, western North Carolina, and northeast Georgia. This number also includes the Center’s Community Outreach program, which serves nearly 50,000 students, teachers, and community members from the aforementioned areas.  In addition, thousands of visitors to the Downtown area traverse through the Peace Center’s campus as they explore attractions such as Falls Park or River Place.

By attracting these visitors and patrons, the Peace Center has become an economic engine in Downtown Greenville. The Peace Center averages $25 million of economic impact annually, with 500 jobs, directly and indirectly, attributed to its operations.

The Peace Center’s $21.5 million construction program will raise the Center’s facility to a new level of excellence and reinvigorate the campus as a worthy part of Downtown Greenville. Upon completion, the Peace Center will be positioned to appeal to a new generation of residents.
