First Citizens Foundation Donates $35,000 to Spoleto Festival USA

CHARLESTON, SC – April 17, 2012 – The First Citizens Foundation recently donated $35,000 to Spoleto Festival USA to sponsor the production of Noël Coward’s Hay Fever, which will be held May 25-June 10 at the historic Dock Street Theatre in downtown Charleston.

“The First Citizens Foundation is proud to support Spoleto Festival USA,” said Tom Trouche, Coastal Division Executive for First Citizens. “We are pleased that Charleston residents and visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy all of the 2012 Festival activities, and we appreciate the Festival’s efforts to promote the arts in our community.”

The First Citizens Foundation has donated more than $100,000 to Spoleto Festival USA since 2008.
