First Citizens names Dennis Wallen as vice president and retail sales manager in Columbia

COLUMBIA, SC – March 24, 2009 – First Citizens is pleased announce the promotion of Dennis Wallen to vice president and retail sales manager for the North Main branch in Columbia. Wallen is responsible for anticipating and meeting the needs of First Citizens’ consumer and small-business customers by identifying and recommending the best products for those needs, as well as building and enhancing customers’ overall relationships with the bank. He serves four branches: Dentsville, Midlands, North 21, and North Main. Wallen is based in the 2621 North Main Street branch.
Wallen is a graduate of Lander University a Bachelors degree in business. Prior to joining First Citizens, Wallen worked as a branch manager for Wachovia. Wallen serves on the board for Workshop Theatre and Carolina Wildlife Care.
