First Citizens Opens New Branch in Augusta

AUGUSTA, GA – December 15, 2008 – First Citizens Bancorporation, Inc., announced the opening of its newest branch in Augusta, Ga., on Dec. 15, 2008. Located on 342 Batson Road in Martinez, the branch office will offer a full line of retail, business, and wealth management services. For additional convenience, the branch has 24-hour ATMs and extended drive-through banking services until 6 p.m. on Fridays. It also has Saturday lobby and drive-though hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The 3800 square-foot Fury’s Ferry branch marks the third branch opened by First Citizens this year. Two other branches opened in February at Walton’s Corner and Martinez. The Fury’s Ferry branch will have seven employees to serve customers. Branch associates include Adam Cato, retail sales manager; Michelle Sheppard, personal banker; Rachel Hammett, teller leader; Jeff Taylor, mortgage originator; Ashley Elrod, teller; and Whitney Thompson, administrative assistant. In addition to the staff, Kelley Mobley, Augusta market executive, will oversee the branch operations and the commercial business development team.
“We are committed to providing quality banking services to the Augusta community. Our new Fury’s Ferry location will provide expanded access to our new and existing customers,” said Mobley.
To celebrate the opening, First Citizens will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Fury’s Ferry branch.
Six distinguished leaders from the Augusta community are part of the First Citizens advisory council, which provides guidance on the area’s banking needs. They include: Dr. David B.
