First Citizens Promotes Greenville Native Othniel Laffitte to Relationship Manager

GREENVILLE, S.C. – First Citizens today announced that Othniel Laffitte has been promoted to Relationship Manager of the company’s Augusta Road office, located at 2201 Augusta Street. Formerly a personal banker at the Greenville Main branch, Laffitte will now be responsible for meeting the lending needs of consumer and business customers, introducing prospective customers to the bank, and representing First Citizens in the community.
“Othniel is a talented young banker who cares deeply about his customers and is determined to help them meet their financial goals,” said Andrew Shene, Upstate Retail Market Executive and Senior Vice President for First Citizens. “We are excited to have him down the street from the neighborhood in which he grew up, and we are confident he will help strengthen First Citizens’ presence in the community.”
Laffitte holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C. He is an active member of the community, serving as a board member of the Greenville Literacy Association; a member of the United Way of Greenville County’s “YP20s” group; and a member of PULSE (Professionals United for Leadership and Social Enrichment). Laffitte currently resides in Greenville.
