December 29, 2011

CHARLESTON, SC – December 29, 2011 – First Federal and an eager Eagle Scout collaborated this season to collect more than 500 pounds of food for the Lowcountry Food Bank.

First Federal financial centers in the tri-county area collected canned and non-perishable food as part of a project initiated by Eagle Scout Alexander Williams. The food resulted in 650 meals for those in need in the Lowcountry. Williams distributed collection bins to all First Federal offices, then collected and transported donated food with the assistance of First Federal Manager John Irimescu.
