Fisher & Phillips attorney admitted to National Black Lawyers Top 100

COLUMBIA, SC – Darrious Baker, an attorney in the Columbia office of Fisher & Phillips LLP, has been admitted to The National Black Lawyers Top 100. The organization is composed of the most outstanding black lawyers chosen to represent their state or region who promote diversity and serve individuals, families and businesses.
Members of The National Black Lawyers Top 100 exemplify superior qualifications of leadership, reputation, influence and performance in their area of legal practice. This exclusive organization provides unique advocacy training for lawyers across the nation. It is also focuses on identifying accomplished black attorneys so the public and businesses know how to find minority attorneys that fit their legal needs.
In addition to his representation of management in labor and employment issues, Baker develops affirmative action plans for federal contractors and subcontractors. He also assists clients with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP) compliance reviews/audits and conciliation reporting. Baker is involved with many professional and community activities, including serving as the Employer Co-Chair for the American Bar Association (ABA), Labor and Employment Law Section’s outreach to the Young Lawyers Division, as well as being a Fellow for the Labor and Employment Law Section. He also serves on the board of directors for SisterCare and is a member of the Men’s Greeting Ministry for Journey United Methodist Church, in addition to his duties as a coach for Pop Warner Football.
Baker received his undergraduate, graduate and law degrees from the University of South Carolina. Among the accolades he achieved while pursuing his law degree included being a Dean’s List recipient multiple times, receiving a scholarship for excellence in employment law, and earning CALI awards for Ethical Issues in Criminal Practice and Technology and the Practice of Law.
