Five Callison Tighe attorneys included in new edition of Super Lawyers

April 22, 2016

Five attorneys at Callison Tighe have been included in the just-released Super Lawyers 2016 edition. The annual publication recognizes top attorneys across dozens of practice areas.

Super Lawyers highlighted the attorneys – Michael Tighe, Demetri “Jim” Koutrakos, M. Malissa Burnette, Kathleen McDaniel and Janet Rhodes – after a stringent selection process that includes nominations, independent research and evaluations from other attorneys in their practice areas. Roughly 5 percent of the attorneys nominated each year are recognized in Super Lawyers.

Tighe was recognized in real estate law, while Koutrakos was selected in business litigation. Burnette was honored in employment litigation, plaintiffs.

McDaniel was included in Rising Stars in administrative law. Rhodes was recognized as a Rising Star in the practice area of employment and labor law. The Rising Stars designation is for attorneys younger than 40 or who have practiced less than 10 years.

This marks the third straight year Callison Tighe has had at least four attorneys honored in Super Lawyers and Rising Stars. Burnette has been listed in the publication every year since 2008, and Tighe has been included for five consecutive years.

Super Lawyers Magazine is distributed to more than 13 million readers nationwide, with companion publications that highlight attorneys in each state. South Carolina Super Lawyers reaches more than 100,000 readers each year.
