Registration Open for Flight of the Dove 2026 Benefit Ride Set for August 1

June 22, 2026

Registration is now open for the Flight of the Dove 2026 benefit ride, a cycling event supporting the compassionate care and grief support programs of VIA Health Partners.

The ride is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2026, with riders departing from Presbyterian College’s Bailey Memorial Stadium in Clinton and traveling routes throughout the surrounding area. Organizers said the event welcomes both experienced cyclists and casual riders looking to participate in a meaningful cause.

Now entering its third decade, Flight of the Dove has grown into a regional tradition that draws cyclists from across the Carolinas and Georgia. The 2025 ride marked the event’s 20th anniversary, bringing out 255 riders from South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia and raising more than $52,000 for VIA Health Partners. Many participants return year after year, drawn by the scenic routes and the chance to ride in honor or memory of loved ones who received hospice care.

Participants can choose from four scenic routes measuring 14, 30, 50 and 62 miles. The fully supported ride includes rest stops staffed by volunteers, safety support along the way, and a post-ride celebration with food, music and fellowship at Bailey Memorial Stadium.

Proceeds from the event benefit VIA Health Partners, helping provide comfort, support and hope to patients and families facing serious illness and loss. The nonprofit provides hospice care, palliative care, bereavement counseling, caregiver support and spiritual guidance, working to ensure that no one is denied clinical support because of an inability to pay. Organizers said every mile ridden contributes to that mission.

“Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or simply enjoy riding for a meaningful cause, Flight of the Dove offers beautiful routes, great camaraderie, and the opportunity to make a difference for patients and families in our community,” organizers said in announcing the event.

Registration is available online at www.viagiving.org/flight-of-the-dove. Organizers encouraged riders to sign up early and help make the 2026 ride the event’s best yet.
