Flourish hires new team members; promotes one

Flourish, Greenville’s award-winning marketing, public relations, and events firm, announced today its hire of Brenda Urban as director of public relations, Heather Clark as senior account manager, and Meredith Tuten as account manager, as well as the promotion of Amanda Dempsey to brand marketing manager.

Brenda Urban, who boasts a 19-year career in public relations, joins flourish as the firm’s first Director of Public Relations, where she will focus on pitching clients’ stories to media nationwide and work alongside the account management team in a mentoring capacity, imparting invaluable skills, tips, trends, and more, to grow clients professionally. Originally from New York, Urban started her career in entertainment at William Morris Agency and parlayed that experience into successfully matching clients with strategic promotional partners, product placement opportunities, and brand endorsements.

With 20+ years of marketing experience, Heather Clark is serving as a senior account manager at flourish. Clark’s career includes her serving as a steward of brands that include Signature: Luxury Pools & Outdoor Living, Dillard-Jones Builders, The Meyer Center, the Southern Living Interior Design and Inspired Communities Network of Time Inc., North Greenville University, Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC), and more.

Meredith Tuten also comes to flourish as an Account Manager, after most recently serving as the Lead Wedding Planner and Business Manager for Oliver Hooper Events, one of South Carolina’s most elite wedding planning firms. Prior to that, Tuten was a project manager at benefitfocus for five years in Charleston, S.C.

Amanda Dempsey, who came to flourish originally to serve as a Digital Marketing Specialist, has been promoted to a newly created position of Brand Marketing Manager. Prior to joining the agency, she served as the Director of Marketing for Fairway Ford, Lincoln and Subaru. In her new role, Dempsey will split her time between content marketing for clients, brand marketing for flourish, and business development for the agency.
