FLW Tournament Casts off in Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC – The FLW Fishing Tournament is set to cast off this weekend in the Upstate. From March 8-11, as many as 6,000 people are expected to gather at Lake Hartwell and in Greenville during the Walmart FLW tour event.
Competitive bass anglers and fishing fans will be on site throughout the weekend, which will take place on Lake Hartwell and hold daily weigh-ins and a trade show in Greenville at the TD Convention Center.
According to Todd Bertka, Vice Presidents of Sales for the Greater Greenville Convention and Visitors Bureau, last year the event brought more than 300 anglers, 500 staff members, and 5,000 spectators to the city throughout the tournament weekend.
The FLW Expo at the TD Convention Center will be held this Saturday and Sunday beginning at 12:00pm. The official weigh-in will be held each day at 4:00pm.
This Saturday, fishing pros will also be on hand at 4 different Walmart locations throughout the Upstate- offering tips and techniques, as well as signing autographs and photo opps.
