Flying Biscuit Café opening in Five Points

January 27, 2022

The Flying Biscuit Café will fly into Columbia this spring, as the award-winning restaurant known for offering breakfast all day is set to open a location in Five Points. The Columbia franchise is owned by Midlands residents John Robert Barth and Kevin N. White. Due to the coronavirus pandemic the original anticipated opening date moved from last fall to late this spring.

The Flying Biscuit Café will be located at 936 Harden Street, in the spot next to the former El Burrito restaurant. The menu is already available, and it includes the wide range of Southern food with the twist that has made Flying Biscuit Café a success across the Southeast, leading it to be recognized by Entrepreneur and Zomato.

Menu items will include a wide range of plates including the Flying Biscuit breakfast, pancake tacos, chorizo hash, shrimp & grits, burgers, patty melt, club sandwich, shrimp Po’boy, steak and eggs, vegetarian and vegan options and gluten-friendly options. Flying Biscuit Five Points will also have a full bar.

Flying Biscuit is the first restaurant announced for the new Treadwell development in the 900 block of Harden Street, which is expected to include a variety of shops and eateries, both locally owned and regional or national brands.

Hours of operation will be Sunday through Thursday from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.
