FOLLY BEACH, SC – The 2015 Taste of Folly Festival on Folly Beach raised a total of $3,000 for the local chapter of the Surfers Healing organization. The event, which took place January 23-24, featured a variety of fundraising activities, including a silent auction. The Folly Association of Business will present the check to the local leader of Surfers Healing, Nancy Hussey, this Thursday between 6:30pm -7:30pm at the Tides Hotel.

Serving the community since 1996, Surfers Healing is the original surf camp for children with autism. The organization works with more than 4,500 children each year, providing them with a therapeutic experience in the ocean. The next Surfers Healing Camp on Folly Beach will take place on Thursday, August 20.

“Taste of Folly is a staple event in our community, and a great time to raise awareness and funds for such a deserving organization,” said Lewis Dodson, president of the Folly Association of Business.
