Food Lion, Harvest Hope Food Bank, and Postal Carriers Union Partner to “Stamp Out Hunger”

Postal Union Food Drive Will Take Place on May 13

The 25th annual US Postal Service Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will take place across South Carolina on May 13. The food drive raised more than 100,000 pounds of food for Harvest Hope Food Bank in 2016, making it one of the largest food drives in the state. As the corporate sponsor for the food drive, Food Lion has provided bags for the postal carriers to distribute in the days before the event. The bags will then be picked up on May 13 and the food collected will go to local food banks.

In anticipation of the event, Food Lion is making a major donation of food to Harvest Hope Food Bank on May 10. Members of the Food Lion team, postal carriers, and Harvest Hope representatives will be available to answer questions.
