Foothills Dental to transition to Ramey Family Dentistry under new ownership

Foothills Dental, a cornerstone of dental care in the community, today announced its transition to new ownership, effective July 1, 2025. The practice will be renamed Ramey Family Dentistry and will be led by husband and wife team Dr. Kate Stewart (Ramey) and Dr. Tompkins Ramey. Dr. Kate Ramey is a familiar face to Foothills Dental patients, having been an integral part of the team for the past 4 years.
Dr. Kate Ramey, a native of Clover, SC, graduated from the University of South Carolina Honors College and earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association and the South Carolina Dental Association, and she is dedicated to serving her community through free/reduced cost clinics and mission trips. Outside the office, she enjoys running, playing tennis, and spending time outdoors with her yellow lab, Hank.
Joining her in this new endeavor is Dr. Tompkins Ramey, a South Carolina native who is thrilled to be helping patients at their own practice.
Dr. Tompkins Ramey is also an upstate native, growing up in Greenwood, SC. He pursued his dental doctorate at the Medical University of South Carolina after attending Clemson University. He further honed his skills through a general practice residency at Prisma Health-Richland Hospital in Columbia, gaining extensive training in areas such as IV sedation, implant dentistry, and hospital dentistry. He maintains active memberships with the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental
Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry, demonstrating his commitment to staying at the forefront of dental advancements. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, fly-fishing, attending Clemson football games, and concerts.
Ramey Family Dentistry will continue to provide comprehensive dental services with a commitment to patient-centered care and the latest advancements in dental technology. Patients can expect a seamless transition and the same high-quality care they have come to expect.
