Forrest Stuart Named Financial Aid Director at Furman University

GREENVILLE, SC – August 28, 2008 – Forrest Stuart, who has worked in the financial aid office at Rhodes College for the past eight years, has been named Director of Financial Aid at Furman University.

Stuart has already begun his new duties at Furman.

Stuart joined Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn., in 2000 as Director of Financial Aid.  Prior to that, he spent 11 years at Birmingham-Southern College, serving as Assistant Director of Admissions (1989-1994), Assistant Director of Financial Aid (1994-1995) and Director of Financial Aid (1995-2000).

Stuart is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College and holds a M.A. degree in higher education administration from the University of Alabama.
He holds an elected position on the College Scholarship Service Assembly National Council of the College Board.  He is also a member of the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and Association for the Study of Higher Education.
