Fostering Trust: Clinton’s Successful Coffee with a Cop Event
October 25, 2023In an impressive display of community engagement, many in the town of Clinton came out for the “Coffee with a Cop” event on Wednesday, October 25th.
Held at The Vestibule Coffee & Tea, the event drew in a diverse crowd, including local residents, Presbyterian College students, business owners, and pastors, all eager to connect with their local police department.
The event, which took place from 8:00 to 9:00 am, provided an ideal platform for community members to interact with the officers who serve their town.
Clinton’s Police Chief, Sonny Ledda, highlighted the significance of such events, emphasizing their essential role in building trust and strengthening the bond between the residents of Clinton and the local police department. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Ledda said, “Events like ‘Coffee with a Cop’ are essential for us to connect with the residents of Clinton and continue to build trust.”

It was just one hour of coffee and conversation between community leaders, business owners, local residents young and old but it was clear that “Coffee with a Cop” is a meaningful event.
