Foundations of Simpsonville Announces Free Community STEAM Fair for Families

July 6, 2026

Local families looking for an engaging, educational weekend activity have a new date to add to their calendars. Foundations Early Learning Center has announced it will host a community-wide STEAM Fair later this month at its Simpsonville location.

The interactive event is scheduled for Saturday, July 18th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the campus located at 7 Magnolia Cove Drive. The fair is completely free to attend and open to the general public.

Exploring the World of STEAM

Designed around the core pillars of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM), the event aims to show young learners how these disciplines are used to explore the world and solve real-world problems. Under the theme “Think it. Build it. Create it,” the fair will bridge the gap between classroom learning and hands-on fun.

Attendees can expect a diverse range of activities and showcases throughout the two-hour window, including:

  • Curriculum Showcase: A firsthand look at exciting, interactive STEAM projects designed for the entire family to experience together.

  • Hands-On Projects: A variety of interactive stations featuring science experiments, creative inventions, building challenges, art, nature exploration, and cooking concepts.

  • Family Entertainment: Beyond the educational elements, the fair will feature classic family-friendly activities including face painting and games.

  • Concessions & Local Shopping: Visitors can enjoy selection of snacks and sweet treats while browsing local community vendors stationed at the event.

Boosting Early Childhood Engagement

Local educators emphasize that introducing STEAM concepts during early childhood helps foster critical thinking, ignites curiosity, and builds foundational problem-solving skills that benefit children long after they leave the classroom. By hosting a free, public event, organizers hope to make these vital learning concepts accessible to all families across the Golden Strip area.

Because activities are designed to be hands-on, parents are encouraged to arrive early to ensure their children have ample time to explore all the stations.
