November 15, 2018

The City of Fountain Inn is excited to announce its 6th Annual Rudolph Run at Night, presented by Marshall Orthodontics, is scheduled for Saturday, December 1st. Kicking off the holiday season, the race will begin with a one-mile Kids Run at 6:00pm followed by a 5k run/walk at 6:45pm through the City’s downtown area. Local retailers plan to offer extended hours or discounts for race participants. An awards ceremony at 8:00pm will conclude the festivities.

Registration is available online at http://cofipar.siplay.com/site/ and costs $30 for the 5k and $20 for the Kids Run (ages 10 and under). The Kids Run will start in front of the History Museum and follow around Inn Circle, while the 5K will loop around town including sections of the Swamp Rabbit Trail and the Inn Circle Carriage Route. Late registration and packet pick up will be held Wednesday, November 28th from 12:00-4:00pm at the Fountain Inn Activities Center and also Saturday, December 1st from 2:00-6:00pm at the History Museum. All proceeds benefit the Fountain Inn Kid Enrichment (FIKE) Center, a free after-school mentoring program for under-resourced children in the community.

“Each year members of our community and surrounding areas support this unique opportunity to participate in a race at night around town where the streets are lined with luminaries, houses are beautifully decorated, and runners wear their red Rudolph nose and support a great cause, our local FIKE Center. The Rudolph Run at Night is a Fountain Inn tradition and we would like to share this awesome event and fellowship with all,” said Shawn M. Bell, City Administrator.
