Fountain Inn Chamber Announces Annual Christmas Parade

The Fountain Inn Chamber announces the Annual Fountain Inn Christmas Parade will be held on December 7th at 5:30 pm. Applications to participate in the Parade are due November 7, 2022 and can be found at bit.ly/FIChristmas22 or picked up at the Chamber of Commerce office at 102 Depot Street, Fountain Inn.

“The Annual Christmas Parade is a long-standing tradition in Fountain Inn; our children and grown residents alike look forward to it each year!” said Marnie Schwartz-Hanley, President & CEO at  Fountain Inn Chamber. “We want to remind people that Christmas will be here before we know it, and the parade even sooner. Floats, trucks, walking groups, classic cars, motorcycle groups and equestrian groups are welcome to participate! We’ll be judging our participants on Most Enthusiasm, Most Christmas Spirit and Best Lights and Sound, and since we start at 5:30 you will want to have lights on your float, vehicle, or costume!”

The Annual Christmas Tree lighting on December 2nd kicks off the City of Fountain Inn’s Christmas Inn Our Town, followed by the Rudolph Run on December 3rd and the Christmas Parade on December 7th. Carriage Rides in Downtown Fountain Inn start December 9th and run through December 17th. Tickets available at bit.ly/FIChristmasRides  The Merry Market Shopping event will be held Downtown Main Street December 10th & 11th & December 16th  & 17th from 5:00-9:30pm.

The Grand Marshall of this year’s Christmas Parade is SC House of Representatives Garry Smith. Representative Smith is not seeking re-election and will be leaving the Upstate to return to Aiken to be closer to family. We appreciate all his efforts on behalf of the residents and business community of the Golden Strip. The Parade will start at Quillen Avenue on Main Street and continue down to Hwy 418. Residents and visitors will be able to view the parade all along the Main Street Route. The Judges Stand will be between Growler Haus & Cucina 100.
