Fountain Inn Museum releases community cookbook

The Fountain Inn Museum has officially released its highly anticipated community cookbook, Heritage from the Table, preserving generations of Upstate culinary history and celebrating the families, traditions, and memories that have shaped the Golden Strip.

The volume brings together nearly 300 cherished recipes contributed by more than 140 local home cooks, spanning timeless Southern heirlooms, weeknight family staples, church supper favorites, and signature desserts. Beyond the recipes, the book is interwoven with historical notes, photographs, and storytelling that capture the agricultural roots and cultural milestones of Fountain Inn. Copies of Heritage from the Table are available for purchase directly at the museum gift shop for $28.

In tandem with the cookbook’s debut, museum curators announced the extension of the popular Fountain Inn Cooks special exhibit, which will now remain open to the public through September 12.

The exhibition offers an immersive look into the community’s domestic past, showcasing vintage kitchen tools, historic cooking implements, antique pantry staples, and regional recipes passed down across decades. It highlights how shared tables, community potlucks, and family kitchens have served as foundational gathering places throughout the town’s development.

The Fountain Inn Museum, situated at 102 Depot Street in the heart of the downtown historic district, invites residents, food lovers, and local history enthusiasts to tour the exhibit and secure their copy of the limited-run cookbook during regular museum hours.
